Orthopedics and Traumatology specialist

He was born in Malatya in 1979. After completing his primary and secondary education in Malatya, he completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1997 and then, in 2004, he completed his specialization in Ankara University Faculty of Medicine İbni-Sina Hospital Orthopedics and Traumatology Department. During his residency, he actively worked as a team doctor in the Turkish Football Federation and the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation. He served as a member of the Health Board of the Turkish Badminton Federation. He fulfilled his state obligation service in Diyarbakır Training and Research Hospital. Here, too, he did not stay away from sports, and served as the team doctor of Diyarbakır Spor, which is the 1st League team of the 2Turkey Football Federation, in 2010-2011. Afterwards, he came to Istanbul and received training from his founders in the field of Hand and Microsurgery. In this process, he performed successful surgeries on the severed limbs of many patients and contributed to many academic publications. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Gelişim University, giving postgraduate courses on athlete health and orthopedic approaches, and successfully completed his thesis advisory duties. He worked at Medicana Hospital, Istinye University Hospital and Medicine Hospital, respectively.

Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Op. Dr. Serkan Gürcan continues his academic studies in his own clinic in Nişantaşı.

Dr. Serkan Gürcan successfully completed the TOTEK (Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Education Council) Qualification Exam (BOARD) in 2010 and was awarded a certificate.
